The worst thing about being a mom at a very young age is how scared you get. Not only because your life is about to change but because you are about to bring life into this world and you have no clue of what it'll be like for the both of you but nothing could top that right? WRONG! Now, that you're trying to sort out your emotions of bringing a child into this world, now you have to deal with bringing him home with you. Sounds easy? Think again...

I gave birth to my eldest in a US military hospital in Okinawa, Japan and they had a lot of things that you are required to do before you can leave the hospital. You have to take a walk and a shower before you can leave. I don't know if that's normal but it was very strange for me. They also made sure I had a car seat and they wouldn't let me leave without seeing it.

I can't stress enough how stressful it is to choose the right baby gear for your child more the less for your newborn. If you are lucky enough to score some gears at the baby shower then YEY YOU! but if not then here goes the ranting... The three things to consider before buying a car seat:

1. BUDGET! BUDGET BUDGET! Let's be honest budget is one of the biggest factor we need to think about. Even though we want to get the best and the greatest for our child we still have to stay above that thin line of being broke, after all a car seat is not the only thing on your checklist and they aren't cheap either. Here are some choices from amazon.com

2. QUALITY When I buy something over $20, I tend to be really iffy if its worth the buy or not. So, if I'm going to spend more $50 or a $100 on something that will determine my child's safety then I will make sure that I'm going to get what I'm paying for. After all, consumers buy the product but they come back for the quality. Here is the top 10 best car seats of 2016 as per www.toptenreviews.com/

3. FUTURE USAGE Here is something you get with quality, you get to use it after your done using it. Confused? Well, if your thinking about having more than one child then this tip is perfect for you. Keep in mind that car seats can be hand down to your next child. If you aren't thinking that far ahead then you can always sell it online or better yet to get more of your money's worth buy a car seat that is convertible. A convertible car seat offers both rear-facing and forward-facing seating.

Here are three different brands that offer the convertible option.
