The Philippines. My homeland. Tourists come for the beach and stay for the people. We are know for our hospitality, clear water and warm tropical weather.

Even though traveling is usually on the top of people's bucket list, budget is still something that people have to consider. Airfare, hotels, food, night life and of course a little souvenir to take back. It's definitely not impossible to do a lot of things and visit a lot of places if you plan it well. That's why a lot of tourists travel as backpackers, to save cash and experience the culture more.

So if you'd want to try backpacking, The Philippines is the best place for you. So here are the top 5 backpacking destination in the Philippines.

Let's get the clichés out of the way, you can't say you've been to the Philippines without visiting this top 2.

1. Cebu. Who'd want to miss out on this beautiful paradise. The ocean, the waterfall, the killer whale (yup!). You can swim with the Killer whales in Cebu. There's a diving spot in Oslob, Cebu where you can easily find them.

2. Palawan. It's not only know for its night life. Palawan also boasts its untouched beaches. Even though this is one of the tourist spots of the Philippines, it still maintains its natural beauty.

5. Quezon Province. This is one of those places that's so near yet so far. It's located in southern part of Luzon, the main island of the Philippines, where Manila is located.

Quezon province is just one of those places hidden in the plain sight. Even though Luzon is the main island of the Philippines, this beautiful gem has still preserved its beauty.
